Listen is an independently owned and operated record store in downtown Edmonton, where the focus is on independent/underground music. The world doesn't need another chain store where Canadian releases are considered "imports". At Listen, we try to bring in as much new music every week as possible, from funk to metal to garage to electronic to hip hop to avant garde. If it isn't on a major label there is a good chance we've got it. And if we don't, we'll do our best to get it. Our staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We also buy and sell used CDs and vinyl, so bring in those albums your tired of so someone else can enjoy them. Oh, and did I forget to mention the huge selection of new vinyl we've got.

Listen opened for business September 1, 2001 in the quickly developing 124th street area, by owner & operator Kris Burwash. Since opening, Listen has quickly developed a reputation as having the best selection of independent music in Edmonton. Stop in and find out for yourself. In the summer of 2007, Listen relocated to their current location.

Getting to Listen Listen is located in the quickly growing 124th Street area at 10443A - 124 Street. Located right next door to Western Cycle. Coming from the southside of the city, we recommend taking Groat Road, and getting off at 107th Ave, head south on 124th Street . There is a parking lot behind the building for your convienence. If you need further assistance, there is a map HERE, or please call for directions. If you are taking the bus, the 3, 5, 7, 133, and 135 will all bring you very close to the store.
